What is ‘parkrun’?
Parkrun organise a free, weekly 5km timed run, these run all over the UK. They are open to everyone, free and are safe and easy to take part in.
These events take place is pleasant parkland surroundings, our local one takes place in Birkenhead park every Saturday at 9am. These encourage people of all abilities to take part; from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, everyone is welcome. You can walk, jog, run or even volunteer to help at the event.

‘parkrun practice’
The aim of being a ‘parkrun practice’ is to help improve the health and well being of both our patients and staff. Additionally to spread the word of the fantastic, free event which is ran every week by volunteers.
The Birkenhead parkrun takes place in Birkenhead park every Saturday morning at 9am. More information about Birkenhead parkrun can be found at the link above.
