Who we are

Sunlight Group Practice provides primary care services from:

  • Parkfield Medical Centre, New Ferry
  • Allport Surgery, Bromborough

We employ over 50 staff and process personal and special category data under the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

How we use your information (Patients)

We collect and maintain information about your health, treatment and care so we can provide safe and effective healthcare. Records may be held digitally, on paper, or occasionally in audio or video formats.

What information we collect

  • Name, address, contact details, date of birth
  • Next of kin and emergency contacts
  • Medical history & treatment records
  • Test results and investigations
  • Lifestyle information
  • Ethnicity or religion where relevant
  • Safeguarding information

Information may come from you, your representative, or other health providers.

What we do with your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide care and treatment
  • Support referrals
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Monitor quality and safety

We may also use information for audits, planning, research (where lawful), training and complaint investigation. Whenever possible, data is anonymised.

If you leave the practice, your records are transferred to your new GP.

Records are kept according to NHS retention schedules and securely destroyed when no longer required.

We process staff information for employment management including payroll, training, appraisal and legal obligations.
