When ordering your medication useful words/phrases to know:
- Repeat medication – medication that your clinician feels is appropriate to have just a yearly review unless you wish to review sooner.
- Acute medication – medication that may require more regular monitoring or is for short-term use only
- Counterfoil – this is the slip that is attached to the green part of the printed prescription – if you have repeat medication, this will be on the counterfoil
Those on regular medication will be asked to see a a healthcare professional at least once a year for a review and reminders should appear on your counterfoil. Please book an appointment when you get these reminders, to avoid unnecessary delays to further requests.
